New Morning Show on The Score

21 July 2008 344 views No Comment

Less than a month after WSCR-AM The Score’s veteran morning man Mike North walked away from a new contract, the station today announced his official replacement. Mid-day duo of Mike Mulligan and Brian Hanley have been helming mornings since North’s departure and will continue as the permanent replacement in mornings. From Feder:

“‘Mully & Hanley’ are a true Chicago sports show,” said Mitch Rosen, program director. “They are two guys who Chicago sports fans could sit down and have a beer with and talk about the latest in Chicago sports.”

No word yet on who’ll replace Mulligan and Hanley in the midday slot they previously held.

This move marks the continuation of a trend at The Score of doomed-from-the-start morning shows. At least in this case, CBS likely did not invest much money in this new show, so no one will be terribly disappointed when it doesn’t do well.
