Lewis Lazare reports in today’s Sun-Times that, while Barack Obama may have been the big winner on election night, WLS-TV Ch. 7 did pretty well, too:

With a 17.6 rating and 25 share, ABC-owned WLS-Channel 7 was the undisputed victor in the ratings for the 10 p.m. hour when Chicagoans first learned one of their own soon would become the 44th president of the United States.

The big challenge of the night for local TV seemed to be deploying enough bodies throughout the region to cover all of the local races and provide appropriate coverage of Obama’s rally in Grant Park.
