WLIT Adds Gossett to Afternoons

11 November 2008 210 views No Comment

Just days before they flip over to all-Christmas music for the next month, WLIT-FM has added Kevin Gossett as the new afternoon jock, pulling down the 2-7pm shift. Gossett is originally from Anderson, Indiana, but now resides in Phoenix, Arizona, where he’s the PD and afternoon jock on KEZ-FM.

What’s that you say? How will can he be in Chicago and Phoenix at the same time? The miracle of voicetracking! Now, instead of Melissa Forman voicetracking afternoons from Chicago, Gossett can do it from Phoenix. Isn’t that swell?

Astute listeners will remember Gossett from his morning stint on WNND from 1998 to 2002. With this addition, Robin Rock’s shift will shrink back to 9am to 2pm. Ironically, Rock voicetracks a shift in Phoenix on KEZ-FM.  Isn’t consolidation great?
