Blago Pulls Shift on WLS-AM
Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich sat in for two hours this morning on WLS-AM, in place of the vacationing Don Wade & Roma.
Blago took calls, talked to guests, and generally held sway as a talk show host. Virtually none of the calls were critical of Blago, who spent defended himself against charges made against him by federal prosecutors. He also took several swipes at his successor, Governor Pat Quinn, for the tax hike that Quinn has proposed.
Last December, WLS offered Blago the chance to host his own weekend show on the station if he agreed to step down. Blago declined the offer and did not step down. He was removed from office by the state legislature in January.
