Blackhawks Ratings Up 150%

Just one month into the new season, the Blackhawks’ broadcasts on Comcast SportsNet have shown significant growth from last year:

Warner Saunders Prepares for Final Sign-Off

NBC 5′s Warner Saunders has confirmed to the Trib’s Phil Rosenthal that he will be transitioning out of the station between now and June 1 of next year.

Saunders, who has been with WMAQ-TV since 1980, will give up the 5pm and 6pm anchoring duties by the end of this year. He will remain alongside Allison Rossati on the 10pm newcast until June 1.

Canellis Returns to Cover Bears

Pre-season NFL football is a lot like summer camp. It’s a complete departure from real life. Nothing can go wrong. Everything looks wonderful. Even the third-string quarterback looks like a superstar.

It was great to see and hear Bears football again last night, on both FOX’s WFLD-TV and on CBS Radio’s WBBM-AM.
